1956 Panhead – Zack Harnish / Love Choppers

As you may or may not have noticed, I don’t shoot a whole lot of bikes. Why? Well, it’s a few things. Yes, I ride. No, I’m not a “biker.” I go to a few bike events a year, but my contacts and radar when it comes to bikes, just isn’t on all the time. Bikes are extremely easy to get wrong. Especially choppers. I mean, everything is hanging out there, waiting to be seen, and it only takes one wrong part to ruin the flow of a custom bike. I’m as picky about bikes as I am custom cars, so don’t get me started. Well, this isn’t one of those “80%“ bikes. For starters, it’s a 1956 Harley Davidson FLH with a Panhead motor. Hard to go wrong there. It was built around seven years ago by a shop called “Love Cycles” in Arizona. The builder is Jeremiah Armenta, and he tells me this was his first Panhead build. The original owner just sold it to our current owner about a month ago, a young guy named Zach Harnish, who lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Lancaster is about an hour and some change away from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and FDR park, where I saw the bike among a hundred or so more attending a show called “Ride To Skate.” FDR has a skate park under the highway, built entirely from donations and pure determination by local skaters, and these shots were done on a half-pipe in the park. But anyway, I met Zach and his Dad Jeff, who also has a killer Shovelhead chop that we may get to see in a future issue.
