Bob Gleim

Bob Gleim's dream of building this hotrod started when he was just a small boy back in the mid 40's growing up in Glendale , California . His brother Wallace would take him in his '29 flathead powered roadster to Bob's Coffee Shop on Colorado Blvd. Bob says he thinks his brother was using him as bait to get dates with the car hops. While working on his roadster, Bob's brother would have him hold the wrenches while he learned the types and sizes. His reward was a Coke and fries at Bob's, which cost 25 cents at the time. During junior high, Bob spent most of his time daydreaming and drawing pictures of the hotrod roadster that he would one day build. This went on for the next couple of years until he started Glendale High School and began taking auto shop classes. Now this was something he could really get into. Bob learned a lot over the next few years, and he loved working on the cars. Now with some experience under his belt, one of his friends asked him for some help on his full race A-V8 powered '28 roadster.
