So you say that you have an old car? What’s that? You say it was built a long time ago? Well, that’s really neat, but was it built before WWII? Was it one of the three cars that match the Isky T, and the Elvis T? Does it have a camshaft hand-ground by ol’ Isky himself on his first machine? Tom Leonardo is obviously a lucky man, because he can answer a solid “Yes” to all of the above.
Hey now, I’m getting ahead of myself, aren’t I? Let’s start at the beginning. In southern California in the early ‘40’s, a group of guys ran around together. They were pioneering hot rodders, they tinkered in machine shops, and they built three cars. Since they were buddies, they did what they knew and the cars were very similar in construction.
